Inspiration. I’m a huge @lorenz.og fan. The attention to detail, and ombre style vertical colour fading is beautiful on shoes and clothes. I’ve always thought how incredible it would look on soft furnishings, furniture, ceramics and as a colour palette in a room. The most recent @jasonmarkk.eu @jasonmarkk collaboration reminded me of some of the 1960s @vernerpantonofficial textiles, colour palettes, and patterns. The @lorenz.og conversation pit - A space full of items I would make using those Patented Colors Schemes. Custom furniture, ceramics and sound system.

Your rooms…I’m seeing a lot of people in the interior world discussing waste, recycling furniture etc. And how challenging it can be to create a coherent space with second hand items due to the potential limitation of stock. This Puresport ground floor event / retail space was sourced purely from Facebook marketplace. The total budget for the ground floor was £2000. From the 70s leather sofa to the stone and glass coffee table and all the planting between, everything was from Facebook marketplace with a few assists from eBay. All destined to be moved on, thrown away or sitting on Facebook marketplace until the yearly dump run. With a little bit of patience and trust from the team at Puresport when I turned up with a van full of random items from across the country I staged it all together to create this awesome space. As Dad said to me….keep working hard and figure it out. It’s been a serious year of learning and change. On a personal level, understanding and coming to terms with loss, buying a house, almost 3000 square foot of property renovation, winning a court case, managing and growing a business and of course Chilli. On a business level, working on some incredible projects with unreal clients; Spotify, The Shard, Selfridges, Serge Denimes and Xbox to name a few. I have taken on a large warehouse spare which in 2024 will be the year of @nomadmaison , a space for curated interior items from around the world, events, workshops, flea markets and general good vibes. @akitektsurfaces continues to grow and evolve quietly in the background transforming some beautiful office elements. Your Rooms… @sergedenimes x @theofficialselfridges If you’d have told me 18 months ago when I was at the end of my rugby career I would be designing pop up spaces in @theofficialselfridges across the country I wouldn’t have believed you. But here I am. I am on the journey to continue doing as much cool shit as possible. It has to be said I’ve not worked for a better or more creative team which is inspiring. This is my first full design and build. Rather than outsourcing we’ve put everything together in house where possible. Inspiration comes at you differently sometimes. Watched the @tobenwigwe Catfish blackened with grits. Saw the mint/sage and rectangular framing in the background. Decided to mix in the jacket pattern, round edges and a lot of texture.
